Subscription & Purchases

How do I restore my purchases?

To restore your premium subscription:

  1. Open ScrollBuddy on your iPhone
  2. Go to Settings (bottom tab)
  3. Tap "Restore Purchases"
  4. Your subscription will be restored automatically

Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID:

  1. Open iPhone Settings
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap "Subscriptions"
  4. Find ScrollBuddy and tap it
  5. Tap "Cancel Subscription"

You'll keep premium access until the current billing period ends.

What's included in Premium?

Partner System

How do I connect with a partner?

To set up your accountability partner:

  1. Go to the Partner tab in the app
  2. Share your 6-digit partner code with your partner
  3. Or enter their code to connect
  4. Once connected, they can approve your unlock requests

AI Partner: Enter code "AI-0000" for instant AI-powered accountability

What happens when I request an unlock?

When you need temporary access to blocked apps:

  • Tap the unlock button when an app is blocked
  • Explain why you need access
  • Your partner receives a notification
  • If approved, apps unlock for the requested duration
  • Apps automatically re-block when time expires

Screen Time & Permissions

How do I enable Screen Time permissions?

ScrollBuddy needs Screen Time access to block apps:

  1. During onboarding, tap "Enable Screen Time"
  2. Select the apps you want to block
  3. Confirm in the iOS permission dialog
  4. Set your blocking schedule

Note: Your app usage data stays on your device. We never see which apps you use or for how long.

Why aren't my apps blocking?

If apps aren't blocking as expected:

  • Check Screen Time is enabled in iOS Settings
  • Verify your schedule is active in ScrollBuddy
  • Ensure you've selected apps to block
  • Try toggling the schedule off and on
  • Restart your iPhone if issues persist

Notifications

I'm not receiving notifications

To fix notification issues:

  1. Open iPhone Settings → Notifications
  2. Find ScrollBuddy and tap it
  3. Enable "Allow Notifications"
  4. Check notification style and sounds
  5. In ScrollBuddy, go to Settings and verify notifications are on

Troubleshooting

The app is crashing or not working properly

Try these steps:

  1. Force quit the app and reopen it
  2. Check for app updates in the App Store
  3. Restart your iPhone
  4. Ensure you have enough storage space
  5. If issues persist, contact support with details

I can't sign in to my account

If you're having sign-in issues:

  • Verify your email address is correct
  • Check your internet connection
  • Try signing in with Apple if you used it before
  • Use "Forgot Password" if needed
  • Contact support if you still can't access your account
